Each frame is manufactured and marked in accordance with the requirements of State Standard GOST R 51932-2002. The three numbers in the markings of the frame represent the size in mm of the lens (a), nose bridge, (b) and temple (L). Excerpt from GOST:
a measurement: Distance between the vertical tangent lines to the rim facet or to the base of the protrusions in a half-rim frame.
b measurement: Minimum distance between the vertical tangent lines to the rim base or to the base of the protrusions in a half-rim frame.
L measurement: Total length of the temple from the hinge to the end of the opened temple.
L1 measurement: Length of the temple from the hinge to the beginning of the bend. (Addendum, Amendment No. 1). You can find more details in the section “Brief glossary of optic terms”
Each frame has its individual number (numbered frame) XXXX-XX. If you wish, we can add gift inscriptions, drawings, the owner’s name.
